Concert Calendar: The Rock Shows Coming to Chile Between Now and February
Iron Maiden, Def Leppard with Extreme, ZZ Top, Deep Purple and Foo Fighters. Dates, venues and what you need to know about each show.
It’s shaping up to be a packed end of the year for those of us who grew up on electric guitars. These are the concerts that belong on your calendar, in order of date.
Iron MaidenOctober 31 and November 1
The tour is called Run For Your Lives and celebrates the band’s 50th anniversary. The setlist is built from songs off their first nine albums, so expect a night of classics. They play the Estadio Nacional, with Chilean bands Nuclear and Mammoth opening. Heads up: after this tour, Iron Maiden has announced a full year off in 2027.
Def Leppard and ExtremeNovember 8
An ’80s double bill at the Santander Arena, formerly the Movistar Arena. Santiago is the last stop on their tour of Mexico, Central America and South America. Def Leppard is the band behind “Hysteria” and “Pour Some Sugar on Me”; Extreme, the one behind “More Than Words.”
ZZ TopNovember 16
The bearded boys from Texas play a more intimate venue: the Teatro Caupolicán. Billy Gibbons is still out front, with Elwood Francis on bass. It’s his first tour without either of his longtime bandmates: bassist Dusty Hill died in 2021, and drummer Frank Beard in August 2026. It’s also their first visit to South America in 16 years.
Deep PurpleDecember 8
It’ll be their ninth visit to Chile. Ian Gillan, Roger Glover and Ian Paice are still in the band, along with Don Airey on keyboards and Simon McBride on guitar. They play the Santander Arena, and “Smoke on the Water” is pretty much a lock.
Foo FightersFebruary 28, 2027
Dave Grohl and company are back for the fourth time, now at the Parque Estadio Nacional. Their last visit was Lollapalooza Chile 2022, a week before drummer Taylor Hawkins died. This time they’re bringing Ilan Rubin on drums, with Chilean bands Adelaida and Aurora Voraz as special guests.
A word of advice: only buy from each show’s official ticket seller. Resale tickets at inflated prices are circulating on social media and foreign websites, and a lot of the time they aren’t even real.
Here at Leveling Radio, we’ll keep telling the story of each of these bands before their show. And until the big night, their songs are playing on the station around the clock.
